Extreme Makeover Home Edition

As many of you know, OWU has been involved this past week with helping out Extreme Makeover Home Edition build a house for a local family here in Bartlesville. The family is a Christian family whose father passed away last year. He was a pastor for many years, and as you know there isn't much money in that occupation normally. As a result the family was left with very little. They lived on a farm with a very beaten up trail home, and they needed help. Extreme Home Makeover and OWU stepped in to provide that help. I?ll be honest, going out to that site and standing for hours was a little grueling, and filming the same scene over and over and over again was really start to annoy me, but the end result was awesome. I?ll be honest, the first day I went out there and got a little mad at all the Hollywood hype, because I wanted it to be more about helping the family and less about Extreme Home Makeover, but I soon realized that if it were not for all that hype, that family would not be sitting in an awesome new home today. If Hollywood is paying the bills, give Hollywood the hype they want while helping others. Thanks Extreme Home Makeover.
